		<description>Although few would probably agree with me in the English speaking world the fact is that there were pretty nasty things done by all sides in WW2. In the &quot;Fog of War&quot; Robert S McNamara basically said that if the US had lost the war, himself and General Curtis LeMay would have been charged with war crimes. 

As for Iwo Jima all I can say is that 24,000 people lost their lives over an Island. Perhaps it would have been better to toss a coin instead to determine who was going to hold it?</description>

		<description>I see the Yanks are doing the Iwo Jima thing today. :) Checked Wiki - 110k good guys vs 18k bad guys. 6k good guys and 18k bad guys deceased. 216 baddies taken prisoner - No mention of if they were wounded or not. Hmmm ... Most impressive!

Challenge question for the day - How many Yanks does it take to raise a flag? :)</description>
